About Me And This Blog

I'm Simona, and I'm human. Shocker, eh?

I live in Fredrikstad, a city in southeastern Norway, and I'm in my early 20s.
I have previously also lived in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and Turku, a lovely city in southwestern Finland.
One of my greatest passions in life is to travel, and I do quite a lot of that, even if I myself don't always feel that way because I rarely manage to get particularly far from my comfort zone. That right there is one of my big goals - to see the world. When not on the go, I work on the many various aspects of settling down in Norway, I read stuff, I play old computer games (mostly strategy and simulation), sometimes I create something artsy or handy, I hit the gym, and I'm a member of the fresh shiny new Fredrikstad Roller Derby club, which means that I rollerskate quite a bit.
I also happen to be bisexual, which is something I'm only writing here because it's so ridiculously easy to assume that everyone is straight, so unless you see someone tell everyone they meet or otherwise make a big deal out of it, you never know, and that sucks.

The topics that catch my eye are usually (but not always) related to humanism, languages, history, psychology, geography, biology and internationality. In addition to the aforementioned regular activities, I enjoy singing, dancing, taking walks, experimenting with makeup, listening to music and learning languages. I already speak a handy bunch of those, and right now I'm focused on perfecting my Norwegian. Music-wise, there's a lot of various music I enjoy; I generally have a mild preference for electronic music, and yet my biggest favourite name of all is Nightwish, which is a Finnish symphonic metal band.

This blog was first published on the 7th of January, 2019. It is my third blog, and it has no other concept or purpose but to serve as a space for my writings on whatever topic I happen to be thinking about or feel like writing about. All photos, unless stated otherwise in the caption, are my own and I should be credited if you use them. As for the design of this blog, I mostly use design features and backgrounds offered by Blogger, however the header, as well as the logo and cover photo on the Facebook page, are and always will be done by me.
